Cork Bike Week 2022

National Bike Week was launched to raise the profile of cycling as a fun and sustainable mode of transport and as a healthy physical activity. It is organised by the National Transport Authority, via the network of local authorities and their partners.

Cork Bike Week is organised by Cork City Council in conjunction with the Cork Sports Partnership, local community groups, youth groups, clubs, schools and other organisations.

This year, there are over 100 cycling-related events to choose from. So, join us, get on your bike, and enjoy a week of cycling activities!

Description: An unforgettable journey into the night as we cycle from Blackrock Castle out around Mahon strand and back along the Old railway line. Description: The majority of this cycle will be off-road and most of the rest on very quiet roads, it will be slow and easy so is particularly suited to those who are less confident cyclists A Cycle out along the river to the Lee Fields, then along the Greenway behind CIT to Curraheen, though quiet estate roads to the Greenway parallel to the N22 between the Bandon Road and Wilton, though quiet estate roads and across the Cycle/Pedestrian bridge to Togher cross to join the Greenway Parallel to the N22 into the Tramore Valley Park for t a picnic stop, leave the park via the Greenway Parallel to the N22 to Douglas Village, through the village to the Park on to the Greenway to Donnybrook, back through Douglas village to the Greenway behind Besskrook to Mahon Strand, past Blackrock Castle and alone the Marine back to the city.
